Thule 594XT Bike Tray – Roof Mount Upright Bike Rack

The Thule 594XT Side Arm is a great bike rack for those looking to mount bikes directly to their Thule, Yakima, and Most factory racks without having to remove the front tire.

When your bike is mounted to the 594XT there is no contact with the frame, as it attaches over the front tire, and the rear strap goes over the rim of the rear tire. This means that it is a perfect solution for those higher end Bikes, as well as bikes with carbon fiber frames, disc brakes, thru-axles and other non-traditional frame designs

Another Great feature found on the 594xt, as apposed to other Thule upright bike trays is that the ratcheting arm which secures over the front tire can stay upright on its own during the loading process.

Meaning that you don’t have to hold up the full weight of the bike with one hand while awkwardly having to reach down and raise the arm to secure it with the other.

In terms of security, Thule 549xt has the ability to lock both the Bike to the frame, as well as the bikes to the Rack, but it requires the purchase of a (2) Pack of Thule Lock Cores to do so.

For today’s showcase install we have chosen an application for any Toyota Prius. For this application the customer wanted to mount the most secure and most convenient system possible on his Toyota Prius, while not having to deal with the time comparably time consuming removal and installation fount with systems that mount to the factory mounting points. The best, and most flexible solution, in terms of accessory application, bar spread, and convenience in installation and removal, is a permanently installed set of Thule or Yakima Tracks.

This system will allow the mounting of either a System, or a Yakima Control Tower or a 430 Tracker II foot pack system. Chevy Silverado 2500 – Yakima Custom Cab/Cap Combination Track and Control Tower System
